CovertKit Enhances WordPress Plugin with Members-Only Content, Newsletter Feed, and Product Embeds

ConvertKit Enhances WordPress Plugin with New Features

ConvertKit, the popular email marketing platform, has recently updated its official WordPress plugin and WooCommerce add-on to provide users with a range of new features. With over 40,000 sites currently using ConvertKit’s plugin to integrate their newsletters, email campaigns, and digital products with WordPress, these updates are highly anticipated by the user community. While the service is free for the user’s first 1,000 subscribers, additional automated features and third-party integrations are available on its paid tiers.

One of the key updates in the latest version of the ConvertKit plugin for WordPress is the introduction of the “Members Content” feature. Previously in beta, this feature allows site owners to set up gated content such as courses, e-books, or curated content without having to switch platforms. By keeping members on the WordPress site, this feature offers a seamless user experience.

To enable the Members Content feature, administrators can navigate to the ConvertKit >> Member Content settings in the WordPress admin. From there, they can specify a ConvertKit Commerce product that must be purchased in order to view a post, page, or WooCommerce product page. This functionality provides site owners with greater control over their content and monetization strategies.

In addition to the Members Content feature, ConvertKit has also introduced a “Newsletter feed” that users can embed on their WordPress sites. This feed displays a paginated list of their public broadcast emails and can be customized to appear as a grid with images and descriptions or as a list with subject and date information. This feature allows site owners to showcase their newsletters and engage with their audience directly on their WordPress site.

Furthermore, ConvertKit now offers product embeds, enabling site owners to create a storefront of their ConvertKit products on their WordPress sites. The styles for these embedded products can be easily edited within the Site Editor, providing a seamless integration between ConvertKit and WordPress.

The latest updates to the ConvertKit plugin also include several other notable improvements. The WooCommerce add-on now maps customer first and last names to ConvertKit custom fields, allowing for more personalized email marketing campaigns. Additionally, the new “Form Trigger Block” creates a button that triggers a pop-up modal, enhancing user engagement and interaction. Finally, ConvertKit has released a PHP SDK for developers, enabling them to build on top of the ConvertKit API and create custom integrations.

For more detailed information on the settings and customization options for these new features, users can refer to the ConvertKit documentation on customizing subscribers’ experience on WordPress websites.

Overall, the updates to the ConvertKit WordPress plugin and WooCommerce add-on bring a host of new features and improvements to users. With the ability to create gated content, embed newsletters, and showcase products, site owners can enhance their email marketing strategies and monetization efforts. ConvertKit continues to be a valuable tool for WordPress users looking to seamlessly integrate their email marketing campaigns and digital products with their websites.
